Here the vines, more than 95 years old, are among the oldest in the village. The grapes are very tiny, the yields extremely low and the berries reach a unique concentration during the ripening. Thus the choice for Riserva.
In spite of the already low yields due to the age of the vines, still, we still perform the green harvest, allowing therefore to have an impeccable ripening.
The hill is incredibly steep and in the summer it receives a quantity of light and heat so that it confers remarkable characteristics to the grapes.
We use part of this vineyard for the production of our Barolo Classico, while exclusively in exceptional vintages, we reserve the highest part of this hill to produce our Barolo Riserva Bricco Voghera.
This part of the vineyard covers a really small surface, inferior to 1 hectare, and it produces on average a little more than 3500 bottles only.

We have waited for almost 30 years to vinify the single vineyard Cerretta separately, in order to have older vines. The wait is finally over!
Barolo Cerretta is dedicated to the Centenary of our winery.
